Anyone in need of good headshots should see you ASAP and not waste time checking out other photographers. I know we’ll be back. Your studio has such a relaxed atmosphere, like hanging out with friends. I’ll never forget – when Stephanie and I arrived about 15 minutes early, while waiting for Colleen, the professional makeup artist, you gave us your spot-on Elvis Presley impression by singing “Don’t Be Cruel” complete with music. It was great! Afterwards, you invited Stephanie and I to look through your extensive clientele portfolio. We were blown away by the headshots; I’ve never seen anything like them. One after the other, every picture captured something special about each individual. It was exciting knowing that Stephanie’s headshot could look as good as these and I had made the right decision coming to see you.
Your professional makeup artist Colleen is so talented! It’s as if Colleen could see ahead in her mind’s eye how Staphanie would look in the headshots and how to bring about that look. She took her time preparing Stephanie’s makeup and hair for the photo shoot. Once you started shooting, I could see why you and Colleen work together.The early pictures that I could see were amazing. Great Partnership! Colleen stayed until the end of the photo session, on hand for makeup touch-ups or hair changes.In between shoots during Stephanie’s numerous clothing changes, Colleen, you and I chatted about life, food, landlords, the economy and lot of other stuff. You even opened up a big bag of peanuts to share with all of us. While you were eating the peanuts, you made us all laugh when you said you didn’t know why you bought them to eat since you are allergic to peanuts LOL! You then gave the entire bag to Stephanie to bring home since she said she and her dad loved peanuts!
You also mentioned the ethereal and celestial look that Stephanie possessed and that you wanted to capture that. You went into your own clothing stock and brought out a black corset and black cape of Stephenie to wear for the ‘vampire’ look. The ‘vampire’ headshot with the Misty Moore background came out fantastic!
It’s jaw dropping! IT’S AWSOME!!
You ended up taking about 250 pictures with unlimited clothing changes. While I was putting Stephanie’s clothing away, you started printing out the proofs so that we could all see right away how they came out. Colleen left but not before giving everyone a hug. Such a nice lady! One by one, as each proof sheet (total of 17 proof sheets) came out of the printer, I was able to see why people come to you to have their headshots done. I truly believe that these headshots could land Stephanie an agent and work. They are that good! Not just good – GREAT! You and Colleen spent the entire day with us to get the perfect headshot portfolio for Stephanie and that is what we got.Right before we left, you gave Stephanie and I a hug, just like old friends! You sent the proofs home with us to go over and come back with our choices for various headshot looks.
We spent the entire next week narrowing down our choice of headshots.We then went back to see you at your studio.Stephanie, you and I spent time going over the entire portfolio, further narrowing the pictures down to seven headshots. Then you showed us the different backgrounds from your gallery that woudl be added to some of the headshots. You mentioned that you yourself photographed the background images during your travels around the world. They are very impressive. The “Misty Moors” image you suggested be used in Stephanie’s “Vampire” headshot is absolutely breathtaking and is PERFECT with the “vampire” headshot.
All the headshots that we all ended up selecting are beautiful. The words that come to my mind when looking at these headshots of Stephanie are words like alluring, ethereal, enticing, dazzling, charming, powerful, striking, angelic, classy, cute, and elegant. But I’m not just describing my daughter with these words; I am describing the qualities that were brought out in these headshots by your talent and unique ability to photograph.
Now for the “good news” . Stephanie just booked with Abrams Artists Agency in the print department! We’ve already going on her first “go see” this week. I’ve aslo received two more calls from two other agents after submitting her new pics who promised to call me back this month to set up appointments with her.
