My fellow Actors,

New York City has plenty of choices, from restaurants to Broadway shows. However, there is only one photographer that can capture your total essence. That photographer is Robert Kim. Since our initial consultation, I knew I had browse through a dozen or so of his “Before & After” portfolios and the differences were stunning, remarkable. “But…” I thought to myself, “… will my photos be as memorable?” I’d been disappointed before.
Robert and I sat for a moment and discussed the particulars of the shoot from wardrobe to hairstyles. I immediately felt comfortable. It was like being reacquainted with an old friend. I returned for the shoot a few weeks later and he was already enthusiastic about our session. I have had several headshots taken before Robert Kim, but I’ve never felt so relaxed and comfortable. He went right to work. First, makeup. He used several different techniques before settling on one that read the best under the lights. Then, he began my photo session. After what seemed like only fleeting moments, Robert exclaimed, “WE NAILED IT!” It went so smoothly that it seemed like only seconds. We had actually shot 94 exposures! It took one hour to  digitally process my new proof sheets so, while we waited, Mr. Kim treated me to a dinner of the most exquisite cuisine I have probably ever tasted at an incredible Japanese/Italian fusion restaurant right down the street from his studio. I wonder if my headshots would be as good? After totally stuffing ourselves, we returned to his studio where the results of my first photo session with him were already waiting. Download completed, the “moment of truth” had finally arrived.
I was expecting some sort of low-res proof sheet to look at, but I could not believe the photo quality resolution of what he handed me. The photos were spectualar! To say that I was totally satisfied doesn’t  really begin to scratch the surface. After viewing the sheer number of perfect headshots we achieved, I was literally numb. I couldn’t wait to show them to everybody.
On New Year’s Eve, I returned to make my final selections. It wasn’t easy! I told Mr. Kim that I desparately needed just one 8*10 for a very important open audition for “Raisin In The Sun,” opening soon on Broadway. He smiled and said, “No problem!” When any other photographer would have taken days, even weeks to process a custom photograph, he had my 8*10 ready for me in five minutes. I could hardly believe it.
So while you are busy choosing from those many restaurants and Broadway shows, enjoy. But when it comes to getting your next headshots done, no need to be overwhelmed with choices. Robert Kim is easily the choice to make.
