This letter is for everyone who is sitting on Robert’s bench, like I was four weeks ago, considering whether to work with Rob for headshots. Rob was the first, and ended up being the only, headshot photographer that I met with to do my very first headshots. During my consultation, I was so impressed with the quality of the shots in his portfolio as well as the difference between the before and afters, but being a new and very poor actress, I wasn’t sure if I could afford him. I had seen other photographers advertise headshot packages for $200, $300, and I wasn’t sure that I could pay to work with Robert.
Here is my answer to that: if you consider yourself a professional and, if you care about your career, work with Robert. Rob’s work is sophisticated, clean, professional and breathtaking.
His price is so reasonable for the quality of work and amount of time he puts into each client. Don’t sell yourself short by going to a cheaper photographer (or even a more expensive one for that matter), your headshots will look cheaper and so will you.Robert and his team meet every single one of an actor’s needs. His hair and makeup people are amazing – they really are. They worked miraculously to bring the best out of all of my features. The makeup is on, but it’s invisible to the camera, making you look like you were born with such beautiful skin and such perfect hair!
Working with Robert is so much fun and so easy! He is a consummate professional. He has a brilliant eye for each individual’s best look and will bring it out of you, undoubtedly. He make adjustments every single shot, if necessary. The hair and makeup people staty for the entire shoot, so they will touch up and refix when every you or Rob see fit( you can change your look mid-shoot). Rob works digitally, so there is no pressure to get a shot in a certain number of rolls of films. It was my first time doing professional pictures, so it took me a while to warm to the camera, and he was very patient. There are so many other important details that Robert takes care of , like lighting, environment, positioning, he even helps you pick out the best of the wardrobe you bring!
And the support of his office post-shoot is unparalleled. They work with you through the retouching and reprinting process to help you pick the best, most marketable pictures, and make sure they are touched and reprinted to your satisfaction.
You can truly put your trust in Robert and his team to take the best picture you have every seen of yourself. Robert assumes responsibility for the entire shoot so that you can do your job and relax and take great pictures. And best of all, he and Tiffany are now good friends of mine, and I am happy to drop in from time to time and share my success with them.
Sincerely,
Samantha Ibarguen
P.S. This is the most exciting part: I met with a print rep last night who took one look at my headshot and said (in this order), “This is a gorgeous shot, who took this?” I told her Robert took it, we chatted, and I left the meeting with her saying again, “this is a great shot, we will be calling you for work from this.” Oh yeah!
Thanks guys!
