I just wanted to express my heartfelt gratitude for taking my new headshots last week, the twenty-fifth of September. I feel that the first moment meeting a new photographer is the one of the most important steps in choosing a photographer, and that this connection with your photographer is key. I realized you knew what you were doing technically just by looking at your “Before & After” books. But it was your constant working relationship with me during the session that allowed the creative moments in the session simply to “happen”. I have never had so many great headshots in one session in my entire life, and my manager, Paul Donelan, wholeheartedly agrees. In fact, he’ll be calling you soon with his personal compliments. These images are without question, going to transform my career. For once, I have something that I’ll actually be proud to submit. I particularly valued the way you took your time with me, never rushing, and always encouraging and communication with me to help create the different looks that I needed, an incredible six in all! Your creative input made the whole process so easy and natural, that for once I got a session that was both incredibly productive and enjoyable. This was the most fun I’ve ever had being photographed! Your interesting stories and sense of humor made the entire experience dynamic and effortless, and your enthusiasm during the entire shoot was the certainly the reason why. This was also my very first experience with digital photography, and it was so exciting to see the photographs we had just created, change after change, one second after you’d pushed the shutter. It was like opening gifts at Christmas! But it was your unceasing professionalism and nonstop efforts on my behalf that made me feel that I spent my money wisely. You inspired total trust and confidence, and then proved it to me beyond any question or doubt. I felt that your interest in me was equally impressive because I could feel that you cared deeply in what you do, and that you took tremendous pride in each and every shot you took. I believe you love every moment of what you do, and the incredible results we achieved were definitely “the proof in the pudding.” Everyone loves my new headshot, and they are especially taken with sheer number of different looks and characters we were able to capture in single session. I really wouldn’t have been capable of doing that without your help. Your recommendations on every wardrobe selection, to make-up and hair styling, to helping me get into character, could only come from a fellow actor, and I am certain that this is why you are so capable of getting so much of your subjects (was that you last night in “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”?). So many photographers claim to be “the best,” and talk up their work, their experience and their abilities. But your work proves the fact. Robert, you are truly “one of a kind,” and your talent and joy and love of your craft shines through each and every one of your beautiful photographs. I was lucky to have experienced your talent, and hope that many other deserving actors will have the opportunity to realize your many gifts.
